Infrastructure Consultant - Red Hat Consulting (UK Public Sector)

As an Infrastructure Consultant in the UK, you will work closely with our public sector customers to understand their strategic infrastructure and business goals, designing and delivering tailored, high-performance solutions. You'll leverage your deep expertise in cloud and infrastructure technologies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to deliver the adoption of Red Hat’s open source solutions.
Note: This role requires active UK highest-level defence security clearance.
What You Will Do
- Act as a technical consultant and subject matter expert on-site, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure architectures.
- Combine technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for our customers
- Assist with project related activities (both technical and non)
- Find solutions that will benefit customers and create new opportunities for Red Hat
- Act as a trusted advisor to the client, and assist the project of technical managers in setting and delivering on expectations
- Work closely with colleagues in a collaborative team environment, providing and sharing knowledge; build and maintain strong relationships with your colleagues and our customers
- Stay at the forefront of technology, evaluating emerging trends and applying new Red Hat solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
- Active, highest-level UK defence security clearance is essential.
- Experience of Linux system administration (RHEL preferred)
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation technologies, particularly Red Hat Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., RHEV/oVirt, VMware) in large-scale enterprise environments.
- This role requires working onsite (100%).
