Indexed description

Every day, our team works to remove child sexual abuse images and videos from the internet. It's serious, vital work - and it can't happen without the right technology behind it. That's where you come in.

We're looking for an IT Technician to join our small, dedicated team. You'll be our first point of contact for all IWF infrastructure, keeping things running smoothly day to day and providing responsive support to colleagues in the office and those working remotely.

You'll help us uphold our IT processes in line with our Cyber Essentials Plus programme, playing an important part in passing our annual accreditation audit, and you'll keep accurate, up-to-date documentation of all our IT and information security systems.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting IWF people on site and remotely
  • Maintaining our internal networks and Microsoft 365 platforms
  • Configuring and deploying hardware and virtual desktops
  • Monitoring our systems proactively to catch issues before they cause problems

Who we're looking for

You'll have at least two years' experience in an IT support or security role, a good understanding of information security concepts, and a methodical, detail-focused approach. Just as importantly, you'll understand the challenges of working in our environment. We take welfare seriously and provide excellent support.

Due to the nature of our work, this role does involve some exposure to child sexual abuse imagery. All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks prior to confirmation of employment.

Email your CV to [email protected] with a supporting statement that explains:

  • Your motivation for joining IWF and how you'd help us achieve our mission to eliminate online child sexual abuse
  • How your experience, skills and achievements make you a strong candidate for this role

Closing date

We'd like this role to start as soon as possible, so there's no set closing date. We're screening and interviewing on a rolling basis until the position is filled - we encourage you to apply early.
