We are seeking experienced Data Center Technicians with strong hands-on skills in server hardware, fiber handling, and rack & stack operations. The role is primarily physical and operational, supporting data center deployments and break/fix activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and replace CPUs, memory, drives, and disk caddies
  • Perform disk swaps, drive replacements, and basic hardware troubleshooting
  • Work confidently with motherboards, PCIe slots, risers, and PCIe adapters
  • Rack and stack servers, network, and storage equipment
  • Execute clean and structured cable management (copper and fiber)
  • Handle single-mode and multi-mode fiber, including cleaning, routing, labeling, and patching
  • Maintain proper bend radius and data center best practices
  • Follow installation guides and remote instructions accurately
  • Support break/fix and deployment activities as required

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a data center environment
  • Strong server hardware experience (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or similar)
  • Proven experience with fiber cabling and patch panels
  • Excellent rack & stack and cable management discipline
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic understanding of networking and system connectivity (support level)

Education & Certifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Relevant hardware, data center, or cabling certifications are a plus

General Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to data center sites on short notice
  • Flexible to work nights and weekends when required
  • Must be comfortable working in live data center environments
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
  • Access to or familiarity with standard data center tools and ESD practices
