Role: Information Security Engineer

Location: Fort Laurerdale

Salary: Total Comp Up to $250k

A global financial technology firm is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join its security team. The role will focus on assessing risk, improving controls, and working with global IT and engineering teams to strengthen the firm’s security posture. You will be tasked with using a variety of security techniques to protect custom built infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assess security risks across infrastructure and applications.
• Design and support controls covering vulnerability management, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, SIEM, network monitoring, and user behaviour analytics.
• Partner with IT and engineering teams to remediate risks.
• Support application security through static analysis, dependency management, and secure CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to security automation and internal tooling.
• Stay current on emerging threats in financial services.

Requirements

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 plus years’ experience in Information Security Engineering.
• Strong understanding of threat and vulnerability management.
• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with Active Directory or similar directory services.
• Familiarity with security event and incident management.
• Strong communication and prioritisation skills.
