Interesting Job Opportunity: Vehant Technologies - Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer

Vehant Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in secure, mission-critical IT environments.

The role involves designing, managing, and securing IT infrastructure supporting Vehants security solutions, including R&D systems, production environments, and deployed customer systems.

Candidates with prior experience in private defence companies or regulated environments will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across Vehant locations and project sites.
• Lead administration of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Manage network infrastructure and security, including firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and access control.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies, system hardening, and best practices.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms.
• Support secure R&D, testing, and production environments, including isolated or restricted setups.
• Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, SOCs, and security vendors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT team members.
• Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, and compliance documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and compliance requirements.
• Act as a key IT stakeholder during customer deployments and critical project phases.

• Bachelors degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics.
• 2- 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with :
• Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)
• Windows Server environments
• Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs)
• Virtualization platforms (VMware / KVM)
• Strong understanding of security, access control, logging, and monitoring.
• Ability to manage critical infrastructure with minimal downtime.

• Experience working with private defence companies, security products, or regulated environments.
• Exposure to :
• Restricted / secure networks
• Audit-driven IT environments
• Endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, or log management tools
• Certifications (preferred, not mandatory) :
• RHCSA / RHCE
• CCNA / CCNP
• ITIL
• Security-focused certifications
