Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT professional with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration, database management, networking, and information security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers and environments.
• Manage and maintain databases, including performance monitoring, backup, and recovery activities.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Implement and maintain security controls, vulnerability management, and system hardening practices.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems and services.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Linux Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).
• Good understanding of Database Administration concepts (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar).
• Solid knowledge of Networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing, and Switching.
• Understanding of Information Security principles, system hardening, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of infrastructure components.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Management, or a similar role.
• Relevant certifications in Linux, Networking, or Security will be an added advantage.
