Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:
This role involves participation in the design, build, and maintenance of scalable foundations for cloud applications and infrastructure. The role requires collaboration across client IT to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), manage and provision systems and services, and optimize costs and security across major platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain automated scripts (using tools like Terraform or Ansible) to deploy cloud resources.
- Assist DevOps teams by supporting developers in building pipelines for rapid, reliable, and automated application delivery.
- Maintain consistency across environments by using immutable infrastructure principles, reducing deployment drift.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance bottlenecks and execute capacity planning.
- Diagnose and resolve complex, cloud-related issues during outages with minimal disruption to services.
- Set up proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, or Prometheus.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production services, perform root cause analysis, and handle routine maintenance.
- Cloud Platform Mastery (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift).
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking, Windows, and Linux systems.
- College Degree.
- Cloud and systems related certifications.
