Senior HPC Engineer

Context

A leading technology-driven financial services firm is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to help design, build, and scale its cloud and compute infrastructure. The role offers the opportunity to work on highly available, performance-focused platforms in close collaboration with engineering and research teams.

Role

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices. Build and optimize scalable compute environments with a focus on networking, storage, and reliability.

Deploy, operate, and improve container orchestration platforms.

Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD workflows.

Create and maintain standardized machine images and deployment templates.

Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure platform performance and reliability.

Support infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

Collaborate with software engineers and technical stakeholders to improve platform scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

5+ years of experience in systems, platform, or infrastructure engineering.

Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, Go, or similar languages.

Experience managing Linux-based production environments.

Hands-on knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools. Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms.

Familiarity with a variety of storage technologies and distributed systems.

Experience supporting large-scale, production-critical infrastructure.

Knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation best practices
