As part of an infrastructure modernization journey, this role will lead the migration to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 and pioneer AI-driven operational models, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across the full VMware ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 (VCF 9), ensuring zero downtime, security compliance, and alignment with enterprise baselines
  • Design and evolve the integrated VMware stack (vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Operations, VRLI, VRNI) to meet high availability and ultra-low latency requirements
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, PowerCLI) to automate provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Deploy agentic AI assistants (LLM-powered ChatOps) for ticket triage, predictive alerting, and automated root cause analysis
  • Configure and maintain monitoring thresholds, alarms, and dashboards across Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNI
  • Drive DR planning and execution for critical workloads, maintaining RPO ≤ 5 seconds and RTO ≤ 15 minutes
  • Provide Tier 2/3 production support including 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Contribute to cost optimization initiatives through VM right-sizing, capacity forecasting, and TCO improvement

Profile

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience designing and supporting large-scale VMware environments (vSphere 8+, NSX-T, vSAN)
  • Strong automation background: PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell / Python
  • Experience with the Aria Operations suite (formerly vROps), VRLI, and VRNI
  • Solid understanding of enterprise storage (Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell/EMC, iSCSI) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, NSX-T micro-segmentation)
  • Familiarity with AIOps concepts: predictive monitoring, LLM ChatOps, automated RCA, intelligent capacity forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and mentor junior team members
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications appreciated: VCP-CMA · VCAP-CF · ITIL Foundation
