The role:

My client, an elite Trading firm are seeking a very Senior HPC Engineer to join their team in New York. There is also an option for this position to be based out of Chicago.

You will have the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues, navigating alerts, and working with various internal teams. Strong Engineering experience is essential, managing projects end to end, and you will have proficiency in Python.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of monitoring and performance across the extensive HPC estate
• Working with schedulers such as Slurm
• Optimising workload efficiency across Infrastructure, Networks and Storage
• Building highly complex HPC solutions to serve Traders and Quants

Skills required:

• Extensive experience of working on HPC systems
• Strong Linux experience
• Knowledge of Storage systems such as Spectrum Scale, Weka, Vast, DDN etc.
• Knowledge of Lustre / GPFS
• Knowledge of low latency technologies such as Infiniband
• Configuration Management experience using tools such as Ansible, Salt, Terraform and xCAT
• Strong experience working in bare metal environments
• Proficiency in Python for automation
