Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to internal end users for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
- Support the setup, configuration, and management of user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system deployment, testing, and documentation to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor system performance and network alerts, escalating issues following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Support data backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices to safeguard organizational assets.
- Assist with hardware and software inventory tracking and lifecycle management.
- Participate in IT projects focused on system integration and infrastructure enhancements.
- Provide support outside standard hours for scheduled maintenance or urgent technical issues as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; or equivalent coursework/experience.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Foundational understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering preferred.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V is advantageous.
- Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are desirable but not required.
- Interest in applying Artificial Intelligence tools within enterprise systems is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technology landscapes.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
