The Work You'll Do
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise systems and infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that align with business and operational requirements. Your expertise will drive automation, enhance platform performance, and support compliance initiatives. Serving as a technical mentor, you will contribute to system standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing, helping to elevate the team’s capabilities and maintain operational excellence.
More Specifically, You Will
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex server and infrastructure issues
- Manage platforms by addressing incidents and change requests for server and systems technologies
- Design, implement, and support system architectures including virtualization, storage, networking, and backup solutions:
- UCS Blade Server virtualization
- Monitoring tools such as Nagios and Grafana
- VMWare
- Domain Controllers
- Pure Storage
- F5 Load Balancers
- NSX virtual networking
- Rubrik backup
- Drive automation and deployment using tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Python, Jenkins, and automox
- Execute engineering tasks related to system design, integration, optimization, and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, product, database, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Utilize Jira Service Management for work intake, change management, and CAB-related activities
- Apply industry best practices to support, assess, test, and implement multi-tier and multi-site solutions
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation, including design diagrams and disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and technical standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related Information Technology field
- Strong English communications skill
- Availability to attend the office once a week (Condesa, CDMX)
- 7–10 years of experience in IT or systems engineering environments
- Strong experience in server design, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in production environments
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms and n-tier application architectures
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including routing, firewalling, ACLs, and virtual networking
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
