System Engineer

The QTI Group is partnering with a Milwaukee area managed service provider to hire their next Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor to various clients. This role blends advanced infrastructure design, hands-on support, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients throughout the greater Milwaukee area.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical lead for assigned clients, managing their IT environment
• Design, configure and maintain infrastructure components, including servers, networks, firewalls and more
• Implement and support cloud services in Azure, M365 and SharePoint
• Perform server migrations, visualization deployments and network upgrades – both on-site and cloud environments
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to Helpdesk teams, managing escalated tickets
• Collaborate with Account Managers to perform Strategic Business Reviews with clients

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT Infrastructure experience, MSP or consulting environment preferred
• Strong technical proficiency in Windows Servers/Desktops, Microsoft / Azure, VPN and VLAN and network switches
• Hands-on experience utilizing virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V)
• Strong documentation, time management and client communication skills desired
