Role: VMWare Engineer(no third party, only W2)
Location: Irving, Tx, Onsite
Duration:12 months
Pay Rate: $50- $55/hour on W2, client will not consider C2C
Job overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contractor VMware Engineer to support the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of our VMware-based virtualization environment. This role will focus on maintaining stable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure while supporting ongoing projects, upgrades, and operational needs.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server environments
- Working knowledge of enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) and networking concepts (VLANs, NIC teaming, DNS, TCP/IP)
- Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues under time constraints
Education & Certification Requirements
- VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP)
- Experience with cloud or hybrid environments (Azure VMware Solution, AWS, etc.)
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python)
- Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Prior experience in large enterprise or regulated environments
