Job Description

• CONTRACT PENDING AWARD**

IT Infrastructure Installer - Responsible for Installation and bonding of server racks, servers, routers,

switches, telecommunications equipment, encryption Hardware and all associated cabling.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and installation diagrams for network and server

environments

• Installs, configures, and tests hardware such as servers, switches, routers, storage systems, and

cabling

• Follows safety and compliance standards for electrical, network, and data center environments
• Troubleshoots and maintains installed systems to ensure reliability and performance
• Documents installation processes and test results for quality assurance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

• HS degree or equivalent
• CompTIA: Security+ CE
• Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling, patching, termination, and compliance with standards
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, hubs, and servers
• Ability to install and maintain power, cooling, and UPS systems for data centers
• Attention to detail and precision in installation
• Ability to follow blueprints and technical diagrams
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• BICSI Technician certification desired, not required

Physical Qualifications

• The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment
• Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Ability to move and install large equipment, rack mounting, and working in confined or elevated

spaces

• Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted

Terms Of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
