Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Requirements

• Solid practical experience with Proxmox
• Very good knowledge of Terraform and Ansible
• Experience in administration and automation of Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Good programming and scripting skills in Python and Bash
• Experience with development and integration of REST APIs
• Solid networking knowledge, particularly VLAN, routing, multi-NIC configurations and MTU
• Confident handling of Git
• Experience with security hardening, role-based access control and secrets management
• Willingness to undergo a security clearance of level SÜ2
• Willingness to travel for workshops and meetings
• B2+ German

Tasks

• Adoption, review and validation of technical infrastructure requirements
• Further development and maintenance of the existing Infrastructure-as-Code environment
• Creation, configuration and maintenance of Linux images
• Automation of virtual machine provisioning with Terraform
• Implementation of configuration and deployment automation with Ansible
• Integration of existing Vault, secrets and credential management processes
• Development of API integrations and automation scripts with Python and Bash
• Implementation of network integration and execution of connectivity tests
• Execution of functional, performance and security tests
• Implementation of security hardening and RBAC requirements
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Preparation and support of operational handover
• Participation in workshops and technical coordination meetings
