Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Plano, TX (4 days onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time (Direct hire with a client of CDW's)

Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 base salary + 15% annual bonus

About the Role

We're seeking a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing enterprise IT team supporting critical production infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning core infrastructure technologies across Windows, virtualization, networking, and security while helping modernize enterprise systems.

You'll work across server infrastructure, virtualization, Microsoft technologies, backup solutions, and network security in a highly collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Administer and support Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Manage VMware ESXi/vSphere infrastructure and virtual machines.
• Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Azure services.
• Administer Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and related security technologies.
• Support Cisco Meraki networking and enterprise switching infrastructure.
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (Rubrik experience is a plus).
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and systems issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational standards.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure a stable, secure infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of infrastructure or systems engineering experience.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience.
• Hands-on VMware ESXi/vSphere administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Azure.
• Experience working with Fortinet security products in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting Cisco Meraki networking.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions such as Rubrik or Veeam.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, virtualization, networking, and storage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
