Systems Administrator (Linux & Infrastructure)

Our team supports a diverse technology estate spanning Linux and Microsoft platforms, virtualisation, networking, storage, cloud services and automation tooling.

The Role:

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone with 2-5 years' experience supporting production infrastructure who enjoys working across a broad range of technologies, particularly Linux, while also being comfortable in mixed-platform environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting Linux systems and infrastructure services across a mixed Linux (Ubuntu and RHEL) and Microsoft environment
• Assisting with the deployment, maintenance and improvement of servers and infrastructure services
• Troubleshooting system, application, performance and availability issues
• Working with automation and configuration management tooling
• Supporting virtualisation, storage, networking and cloud-based services
• Contributing to documentation, monitoring and operational best practices

Requirements:

Essential:

• 2-5 years' experience supporting production infrastructure environments
• Good Linux administration skills, including services, networking, permissions, filesystems and logging
• Experience working in mixed Linux and Microsoft environments
• Experience supporting physical, virtual or cloud-based infrastructure
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and authentication services
• Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell or Python

Desirable:

• Experience with configuration management or automation tooling such as Puppet, Ansible or similar
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Active Directory-integrated Linux environments
• Experience with tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Docker, Grafana, Terraform or Kubernetes would be beneficial but is not required.
