Our client operates a manufacturing site near Leuven and is now expanding its local IT team to support both site-level and global infrastructure initiatives. You'll join a small, autonomous local team, working closely with a compact but highly international IT department. This is a hands-on infrastructure role for someone who wants to combine technical with project ownership, contributing to initiatives like global monitoring and MDM rollouts.
The Role
- Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, virtualization platforms (VMware/Proxmox), backup and disaster recovery (e.g. Veeam), and network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, VPN).
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID) and MDM solutions (Intune), including identity and access management.
- Drive infrastructure and optimization projects end-to-end, including active involvement in the ongoing monitoring and MDM rollouts.
- Provide Level 2/3 support (roughly 15-20% of your time) to back up the Service Desk on infrastructure-related incidents.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server (Active Directory), Linux, virtualization, and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
- Autonomous, customer-oriented, and comfortable formalizing processes and driving projects.
- Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a strong asset.
Offer
You'll join a highly international environment (a large share of activities span global projects) while working from a local, stable site close to Leuven. Limited home-working is possible after an initial 6-month period. Compensation package to be discussed based on experience and rate expectations and a car is included.
