🚀 SOC Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, optimization and integration of SIEM, SOAR and XDR platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement of the company’s Security Operations Center services.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the secure, reliable and uninterrupted operation of the SOC infrastructure, including Disaster Recovery, Backup, Failover, cloud resources and supporting services.
• Administer, monitor and optimize SIEM, SOAR and XDR platforms, primarily the IBM QRadar Suite, Cloud Pak, AI and UEBA capabilities.
• Manage log sources, event and flow collection, platform integrations, plugins, Custom Event Properties, DSMs, parsing rules and reporting capabilities.
• Configure and fine-tune detection rules and offense management processes to improve performance and reduce false positives and alert fatigue.
• Configure, harden, fine-tune and coordinate upgrades of EDR/XDR platforms, including Cisco, FortiEDR, Microsoft Defender, ESET and Cortex.
• Lead the technical onboarding of new customers, including Event/Flow Collector architecture, platform configuration, firewall requirements and resolution of integration issues.
• Manage users, credentials and access roles across QRadar, EDR platforms and customer tenants.
• Maintain SOC and customer infrastructure records, conduct quarterly reviews and continuously improve the QRadar testing environment.
• Develop and maintain SOAR workflows and supporting Python or Bash automations, including automated offense distribution to customers.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors and internal teams, while evaluating technologies that enhance SOC operations.

🧠 Requirements:

· At least one year of relevant experience in SOC operations, SIEM engineering or security platform administration.

· Basic hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR and/or XDR technologies.

· Experience with IBM QRadar or other SIEM platforms will be considered a strong asset.

· Understanding of log source onboarding, event parsing and detection rule optimization.

· Familiarity with query languages, regular expressions and basic scripting using Python or Bash.

· Strong analytical mindset, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail and communication skills.

• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Relevant cybersecurity or vendor certifications will be considered an asset.
