POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, automation, and continuous improvement of our modern Microsoft-based workplace environment. You will play a key role in managing client devices, software lifecycle, Microsoft 365 services, and user administration while working closely with the IT Security team to ensure a secure and efficient IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Windows clients, Windows servers, and mobile devices throughout their entire lifecycle
- Manage and continuously improve the Microsoft Intune environment, including device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment
- Design, build, maintain, and update software deployment packages using PowerShell and enterprise software packaging and deployment solutions
- Manage the complete software lifecycle, including software packaging, automated deployment, updates, and manual installations where required
- Administer and optimize the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
- Manage SharePoint Online sites, storage, permissions, and governance while supporting the implementation and operation of an enterprise archive solution
- Administer Active Directory and Entra ID users, groups, guest accounts, and permissions
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts for administrative processes
- Provide professional 1st and 2nd Level IT Support, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests while delivering an excellent user experience
- Collaborate closely with the IT Security team to continuously improve IT security standards, endpoint protection, and infrastructure architecture
- Plan, implement, and support IT infrastructure and workplace projects, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed vocational training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, combined with at least 2 years of professional experience in IT system administration
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Client and Server operating systems, and Microsoft 365
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills with proven experience in automating administrative tasks, software deployment, user lifecycle management, and system administration
- Experience with software packaging, application deployment, and software lifecycle management in enterprise environments
- Good knowledge of Microsoft cloud services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and enterprise IT infrastructure
- Experience with PowerApps, VMware, Microsoft SQL Server, and PRTG is considered an advantage
- Experience in administering SharePoint Online, including site management, permissions, storage management, and governance, is considered an advantage
- Experience with enterprise archive solutions or Microsoft Purview retention and compliance capabilities is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for automation and continuous process improvement
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with a structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is an advantage
- A customer-focused, service-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in an international environment
