About The Team
The Privileged Access Management (PAM) team designs and implements modern privileged access management best practices to secure Workday's critical infrastructure. We are the team that safeguards the keys to the kingdom, ensuring that access to Workday's most sensitive systems is managed with the highest standards of security and compliance.
Our team has a high level of camaraderie, which allows each individual to make key contributions toward the organization's goals. With a high degree of autonomy, engineers are able to focus deeply on meaningful work with minimal interruption. Because the scope of our deliverables spans the entire Workday organization, there are outstanding opportunities to make a significant impact every day.

- Identify areas of improvement that could be automated, helping the team scale and operate more efficiently
- Participate in the team's 24x7 on-call support rotation to ensure the continued availability and reliability of PAM services
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline, with hands-on experience in both private data centre and public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP)

- Linux: Proficient in Linux system administration, including command-line operations, shell scripting, server configuration, and performance optimization. Comfortable managing and troubleshooting Linux-based infrastructure at scale.
- Software Development: Skilled in software development practices, including programming, testing, and maintaining code within CI/CD pipelines. Familiar with version control, data structures, and system design principles to develop and improve infrastructure tooling and automation.
- Cloud Identity: Knowledgeable in cloud identity services and frameworks across cloud platforms such as AWS IAM and GCP IAM.
- Privileged Access Management (PAM): Experienced in designing, implementing, and supporting privileged access management solutions across private data centre and public cloud environments. Knowledgeable in applying least-privilege access, secure credential management, privileged session controls, and access governance to protect critical infrastructure.
- AI: Familiar with artificial intelligence concepts and their practical application to infrastructure and security operations, including using AI-driven approaches to improve automation, anomaly detection, and operational efficiency.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
