Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS GovCloud)

Position Summary

Caduceus is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to support a mission-critical application hosted in AWS GovCloud. The selected candidate will design, implement, secure, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while supporting DevSecOps, automation, production operations, and compliance with federal security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, encryption, and Zero Trust principles.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system reliability.
• Support compliance with ATO, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP requirements.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and AWS GovCloud.
• Experience with Docker, Amazon ECS and/or EKS (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS networking/security services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ATO and federal cloud environments.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• AWS Professional certifications, CKA, CKS, or Security+ are preferred.
