Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Unix Administrator with 10+ years of enterprise experience to support mission-critical infrastructure for a large-scale client environment. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Unix/Linux administration, production support, automation, system performance tuning, and infrastructure management.

Note: Candidates must be comfortable working onsite from the client location in Pittsburgh, PA. Strong communication skills and prior experience supporting large enterprise environments are essential.

Required Skills

• 10-12+ years of experience in Unix/Linux Administration.

Strong administration experience with one or more of the following:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• AIX
• Oracle Linux
• Solaris

Strong knowledge of:

• Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell)
• Linux Kernel fundamentals
• LVM and file system management
• NFS, SAN Storage, and Multipathing
• TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, LDAP
• Experience with server performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with system monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible is preferred.
• Familiarity with VMware or virtualized server environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise production environments with 24x7 operations.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is an advantage.
• ITIL process knowledge.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
