- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux servers and operating systems.
- Manage and support Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora environments.
- Perform operating system updates, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and technical issues.
- Support software deployments and upgrades in production environments.
- Maintain and improve system documentation and operational procedures.
- Manage virtualized environments using VMware technologies.
- Provide second-line technical support for servers and infrastructure components.
- Participate in production releases, maintenance windows, and go-live activities.
- Manage user access, permissions, and system security settings.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Proactively identify security risks and recommend mitigation actions.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure stable operations.
- Strong experience with Linux administration, preferably Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora.
- Good knowledge of system hardening and IT security best practices.
- Experience with server patching and maintenance.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- VPN
- Firewalls
- Routing and switching
- Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter.
- Experience supporting enterprise server environments.
- Familiarity with scripting using Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Nagios or Zabbix.
- Knowledge of databases.
- Experience with Git.
- Understanding of application hosting environments.
- Experience working in highly available or critical production environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Experience managing enterprise Linux environments.
- Experience working with security, patch management, and system monitoring.
