Tech Ops Engineer

A global leading quantitative trading firm is looking for a Tech Ops Engineer to support the infrastructure that underpins the electronic trading environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining the availability, performance, and reliability of critical trading systems, working closely with Infrastructure, Networking, Development, and Trading teams.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, automating operational tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment where technology directly impacts the business.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and support production trading infrastructure and associated services.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure and application issues across Linux.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
• Work closely with traders, developers, and infrastructure engineers to ensure platform stability and performance.
• Support trading applications, market data platforms, and connectivity to exchanges and liquidity venues.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure tooling.
• Participate in planned maintenance, upgrades, deployments, and change management.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and monitoring dashboards.
• Contribute to improving system resilience, monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a Technology Operations, Systems Administration, Production Support, or Infrastructure Support role.
• Strong Linux administration skills, with experience supporting production environments.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues under pressure.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools.
• Working knowledge of FIX protocol and exchange connectivity
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
