Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to manage cloud resources using tools such as Azure ARM, Terraform, or Ansible
- Maintain and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, testing, and deployment of applications to Azure App Services and Azure Service Fabric
- Migrate Service Fabric Microservices to Kubernetes
- Work alongside Azure Cloud Engineers to integrate new App Services within Azure Cloud Services
- Integrate 3rd party APIs within Azure API Management
- Oversee the deployment and configuration of Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, and containerized applications
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate security best practices into the development and deployment pipelines, such as static application security testing (SAST) and dynamic application security testing (DAST)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform services for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency
- Manage secrets and credentials using tools like Azure Key Vault
- Implement and enforce zero-trust principles across platforms and services, ensuring robust identity and access management
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational runbooks
- Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams on platform usage and DevSecOps principles
- Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and resolution of platform-related issues
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in cloud computing, DevSecOps, and platform engineering
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and deploying cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Proven track record of implementing and managing infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic
- Proficient in scripting and automation languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
- Knowledge of security practices, including vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and threat modeling
- Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
- Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
