Junior System Administrator
Position Summar
yWe are seeking a motivated Junior System Administrator to join our IT team and support a key infrastructure integration initiative. This role will initially focus on helping transition one of our subsidiary companies from a managed service provider (MSP) into our corporate IT environment. Working alongside our central IT team, you will serve as the on-site technical resource, assisting with the migration of systems, users, and infrastructure
.
Once the migration is complete, you will become the primary IT support resource for the office, providing day-to-day technical support while maintaining the local IT environmen
t.

Migration & Infrastru

- work.Work closely with the corporate IT team to execute migration plans and resolve technical is
- sues.Assist with migrating Microsoft and Linux-based systems into the parent company’s infrastruc
- ture.Support the transition and maintenance of Microsoft Access databases and related applicat
- ions.Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot workstations, servers, user accounts, and network-connected dev
- ices.Document systems, procedures, and migration activi
ties.
Systems Administ
- rationAdminister Windows-based systems, Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory, and related technol
- ogies.Support and maintain Linux systems as n
- eeded.Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and troublesho
- oting.Assist with backups, security, and endpoint manag

End User
- SupportServe as the primary IT support contact for an office of approximately 80 employees after the migration is co
- mplete.Provide Tier III technical support for hardware, software, networking, and user
- issues.Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and perip
- herals.Escalate complex issues to the corporate IT team when necessary while maintaining ownership through reso
lution.
Qualif
ications
Required2–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or advanced desktop- support.Experience supporting Microsoft Windows envi
- ronments.Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server admini
- stration.Basic Linux administration ex
- perience.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solvin
- g skills.Excellent communication and customer service a
- bilities.Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote corporate
IT team.
PreferredExperience participating in infrastructure migrations or IT integration- projects.Familiarity with Microsoft Access
