Role Description This is a full-time, on-site System Engineer role based in Singapore. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Windows Servers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), backup platforms, and storage systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring system availability, security, performance optimisation, backup reliability, and disaster recovery readiness across enterprise environments.


This role requires strong technical expertise in infrastructure operations, system administration, storage management, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and automation.


Key ResponsibilitiesWindows Server Administration
  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and DHCP services
  • Perform patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation
  • Administer IIS, file servers, and print services
  • Monitor system performance and event logs
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administration
  • Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers
  • Implement system hardening and security compliance standards
  • Manage user access, permissions, and SSH controls
  • Configure and support Linux services and applications
  • Execute patching, kernel updates, and performance tuning
Backup & Recovery Management
  • Manage enterprise backup solutions such as Commvault, NetWorker, or equivalent
  • Configure and monitor backup policies and schedules
  • Troubleshoot backup failures and perform recovery operations
  • Conduct regular restore testing and validation
  • Ensure compliance with retention and regulatory requirements
Storage Administration
  • Support SAN, NAS, and DAS storage environments
  • Provision storage volumes, LUNs, and file shares
  • Monitor storage utilisation, performance, and capacity
  • Perform storage optimisation and maintenance activities
  • Support storage replication and disaster recovery configurations
System Monitoring & Incident Support
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and alerts
  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 technical support
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Security & Compliance
  • Apply system hardening and security best practices
  • Support vulnerability remediation and patch management
  • Maintain compliance with organisational and security policies
  • Support audits and operational reviews
Automation & Documentation
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
  • Generate reports on system health, backup status, and storage usage
  • Maintain accurate asset and configuration records
RequirementsEducation & Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, or Storage certifications will be an advantage
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Familiarity with backup technologies such as Commvault or NetWorker
  • Experience managing enterprise storage platforms
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and infrastructure management tools
  • Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
Experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in systems or infrastructure administration
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments
  • Exposure to disaster recovery and business continuity operations preferred
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility and operational discipline
