About The Role
Peraton is seeking to hire a Senior Systems Administration Support (UNIX/Linux OS) for the Regional Cyber Center-Europe program.
Location: On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server infrastructure across multiple RCC-E enclaves, performing system builds, configuration management, performance tuning, and lifecycle administration in support of enterprise cyber defense services
- Configure and sustain defensive cyber service platforms hosted on Linux infrastructure, including network sensors, log aggregation systems, and security analytics tools supporting RCC-E's CSSP-D mission
- Administer identity and authentication management systems using RedHat Identity Management (IdM) and Keycloak, managing user accounts, Kerberos/LDAP integration, and role-based access controls across the enterprise
- Implement and maintain STIG compliance and RMF documentation for all managed UNIX/Linux systems, conducting regular SCAP scans, remediating findings, and supporting ATO maintenance activities in coordination with the ISSM/ISSO
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Podman and Kubernetes/OpenShift, supporting the development and operations of cyber tools and enterprise services in a hardened, DoD-compliant container environment
- Support data center operations including server rack management, storage integration, backup/recovery procedures, and coordination with facilities personnel to ensure physical and environmental security of hosted systems
- Bachelor's degree (STEM/Business Admin) and 8 years of relevant, specialized experience; Associate's degree and 10 years, or 12 years of experience in lieu of the bachelors degree
- Must meet TESA Qualification
- DoW 8140 - IT (System Administrator) - Advanced
- Certifications - must hold one active certification (one of the following):
- UNIX Certified Administrator; OR
- RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer); OR
- RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator); OR
- RHCA (Red Hat Certified Architect)
- Demonstrated 4+ years of UNIX/RedHat Server OS experience
- Demonstrated 2+ years of experience with HP-UX, Solaris, or RedHat Linux; 2 years with U.S. military C2 or commercial LAN/WAN systems
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active DoW Secret security clearance
- Proficiency with Bash and Python scripting for system automation, configuration management, and security compliance tasks
- Experience with SaltStack or Ansible for configuration management and automated STIG remediation at scale
- Familiarity with Network IDS platforms (Suricata, Snort, Zeek) and GigaMon packet broker administration
- Experience with GitLab for source code management, CI/CD pipeline development, and infrastructure-as-code workflows
- Knowledge of Podman and Kubernetes/OpenShift container orchestration in hardened, air-gapped environments
- Experience with RedHat IdM and Keycloak for enterprise identity federation and SSO integration
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere administration for Linux VM management and resource optimization
- Experience with network IDS sensor tuning, signature management, and integration with SIEM platforms
