Salary: $80,000 – $100,000

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Network & Systems Engineer to design, implement, administer, and support enterprise network and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, VMware, and Microsoft Hyper-V and can own projects from implementation through ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Manage FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer environments.
• Deploy and support Cisco Meraki security appliances, switches, wireless, and SD-WAN.
• Design and maintain site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
• Install, configure, and support VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Provision, migrate, and optimize virtual machines.
• Configure Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, routing, wireless, and enterprise network security.
• Perform root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Maintain network diagrams and technical documentation.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and on-call support.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Network & Systems Engineering experience.
• Hands-on production experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Experience administering Cisco Meraki (MX, MS, MR).
• Hands-on VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V administration.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network security.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fortinet NSE4 (or willingness to obtain).
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP.
• VMware VCP certification.
• Azure or hybrid cloud experience.
• MSP or multi-client environment experience.

Ideal Candidate

This is not a desktop support position. We are looking for a true infrastructure engineer who has implemented, configured, and supported Fortinet, Meraki, VMware, and Hyper-V environments and is comfortable owning projects from deployment through ongoing operations.
