Position : Data Center Hardware Support Specialist – Linux / Server / GPU
Location: Atlanta ,GA OR Hillsboro ,OR (Onsite) 100% ONSITE
Duration: 1 Year contract
About the Role
Estimate Hours - 1920 Resident must be flexible in working during the weekends and holidays when customer requires.
Responsibilities
- Strong Customer communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within an onsite team in a dynamic environment
- Flexible schedule, including ability to support after hours and/or weekend schedules
- Resource needs to be comfortable on the HW repair side. As some of the role may be providing OSE/FSE support, they need to be experienced having their hands inside the server, replacing parts.
- They need to have enough experience, where they are confident in their skills to support and add new skills as needed.
- Prior Dell FSE experience a plus.
- Ticket management/Tracking

- Be able to lift 65 pounds
- Be able to work while on a ladder
- Great attention to detail
- Work in a fast-paced environment
Must have skills:
- Basic Network experience
- Experience reading Linux logs
- Linux cli experience
Nice to have skills:
- RoCE network experience
- Nvidia GPU/NIC experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day data center operational support
- Escort and coordinate with dispatched field engineers
- Manage parts shipping, receiving, and inventory
- Maintain and update environment documentation (serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.)
- Coordinate with colocation teams for power, cooling, and facility maintenance activities
- Execute customer-directed system and version updates
- Proactively monitor servers and notify customers of issues
- Open and manage service requests; triage and coordinate break/fix activities with Dell support
- Perform troubleshooting, log collection, and follow vendor-recommended resolutions
- Support firmware upgrades and hardware break/fix activities
- Handle parts replacement and hardware deployment
- Perform OS installation, GPU configuration, and any testing
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure operational readiness
- Handle random or urgent issues as they arise, serving as flexible escalation and coordination point.
