Description

LMW, on behalf of its client, a leading international technology and digital transformation consulting company, is looking for a Mid-Level SysOps Engineer to join a strategic project within the digital payments industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly available, secure, and performance-driven environment, supporting critical infrastructure and applications that power modern payment services.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of enterprise systems while contributing to the continuous improvement of infrastructure and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux-based production and non-production environments.
  • Support hybrid infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Ansible.
  • Build, maintain, and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using observability and monitoring tools, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Perform routine database administration and operational support, including backups, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliable and secure service delivery.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in a SysOps, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Operations role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
  • Experience managing infrastructure in AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Proficiency with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
  • Experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and application deployment.
  • Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of database operations, including routine maintenance, backups, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) is considered an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
