- The Senior Specialist, System is responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Windows systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise IT solutions, coupled with excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues efficiently. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and maintain Windows server environments, virtualization platforms (Nutanix AHV and VMware), and Microsoft Office 365 services to ensure high system availability and performance.
- Manage core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, storage systems (SAN/NAS/HCI), and backup/disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, virtualization, and network issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring incidents.
- Lead infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, migrations, virtualization deployments, and hardware refresh initiatives while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Implement security best practices, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, MFA, and endpoint protection to ensure compliance and system security.
- Monitor system health, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in system administration or enterprise infrastructure support.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, PowerShell scripting, and Windows security.
- Hands-on experience managing Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere/ESXi, virtualization networking, high availability, and disaster recovery environments.
- Proven knowledge of enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, HCI), backup technologies (Veeam or Commvault), and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with experience using diagnostic tools, conducting root cause analysis, and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Security+, or AWS SysOps Administrator are preferred.
