- Install, configure, administer, and optimize RHEL servers in GCC (AWS) environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) within GCC.
- Support migration of applications from legacy environments (RHEL, Solaris, AIX) into containerized and cloud-native platforms.
- Perform server migrations (RHEL) and ensure systems meet GovTech GCC compliance/security standards.
- Manage Linux clustering, VM clustering, and container orchestration for high availability.
- Implement OS security hardening, compliance, and audit checks.
- Administer storage (LVM, GFS, NFS, DNS, automount) and manage Red Hat Satellite for repo/patching.
- Automate tasks using Shell scripting, Ansible, and support infrastructure-as-code deployments.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and handle incident response for GCC workloads.
- Manage and support middleware (Squid Proxy, SMTP, Splunk, Apache, Tomcat).
- Collaborate with GovTech, vendors, and agencies on problem resolution and upgrades.
- 5–8 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration (RHEL)
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes deployment models ( AWS EKS) and container security best practices.
- Experience in container lifecycle management, scaling, logging, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in RHEL troubleshooting, patching, and upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of Linux security hardening, auditing, and compliance (IM8/GCC).
- Experience in Linux clustering, virtualization, and high-availability solutions.
- Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite for patch/repo management.
- Strong skills in Shell scripting, Ansible automation, and exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, EKS)
- Hands-on with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Prometheus, ELK preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform crash dump/log analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- GovTech GCC operational experience with containerized workloads.
- Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Docker, RHCE, AWS SysOps, ITIL.
- Experience in DevSecOps practices and cloud-native security controls.
- Familiarity with cloud migration/container modernization projects in government or regulated environments.
