Network Engineer

This position is open to talents with early professional experience in mobile networks who want to grow in the RAN design and optimization domain.
What you will do:
- Deliver RAN/RF design and optimization for 4G/5G (coverage, capacity, interference and quality), for both indoor and outdoor solutions
- Execute NDO activities: radio design, parameter optimization, feature activation and baseline configuration
- Perform RAN/RF call flow analysis and troubleshooting, interacting with Core and Transport teams when needed
- Use OSS/ENM and performance tools, drive and virtual drive test data, traces and logs to monitor and improve KPIs
- Apply AI assistants and prompt engineering to speed up analysis, reporting and documentation
- Contribute to presales and solution design (technical inputs, capacity/performance estimates, acceptance criteria)
- Support continuous improvement of processes and tools, proposing automation and innovation ideas
- Prepare concise technical documentation and share knowledge within the team and with customers
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical or related)
- Hands‑on experience with 4G/5G RAN/RF design and/or optimization (internships or early‑career roles are welcome)
- Good understanding of radio fundamentals (coverage, capacity, interference, QoS/QoE, KPIs)
- Knowledge of Ericsson RAN hardware and software (LTE, NR): configuration, performance and basic call flow analysis
- Experience with network performance/configuration tools (OSS/ENM or equivalent, drive test analysis tools)
- Basic understanding of end‑to‑end mobile network architecture and RAN Transport
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills
- English: minimum intermediate level (reading, speaking, writing); Spanish skills are a strong plus for working with regional customers
- Programming/scripting for automation and data analysis (e.g. Python, SQL, R, VBA)
- BI and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, MapInfo, QGIS)
- Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in network optimization or anomaly detection
- Comfortable using AI assistants and prompts for insights, scripts and technical documentation
- Experience with radio planning tools (e.g. Atoll, iBwave, Planet)
- Basic understanding of virtualized, cloud‑native and Open RAN concepts
- Leadership and consultative approach, taking responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of services
- Strong teamwork, communication and presentation skills
