We are looking for a Field Engineer to join our Information Technology (IT) team to enhance our operations and propel our clients’ customers’ (we call them members) experience. Our office is in Cranbury, NJ but the job involves travelling to our customers’ locations within a 30 mile radius of the office.

We are seeking a highly skilled and educated Field Engineer to join our Credit Union Support Organization (CUSO) supporting 2 Credit Unions in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex technology fields with a strong focus on security, performance, and compliance. The individual will be hands-on and provide field technical services for equipment and devices owned by the credit unions and installed in their locations as well as at their Data Center. Traveling within New Jersey is part of the job for three to four days a week.
What are we after?
- Design, implement, and maintain field solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Provide advanced (L3) support for Windows environments, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage systems.
- Monitor systems and network performance and ensure availability, security and reliability.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, network and application team members to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
- Lead systems and network-related projects including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
- Maintain documentation for all configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
Specific Responsibilities with expected skillsets.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in systems and network engineering and administration.
- Expert-level knowledge of common devices and platforms in all aspects of a field operation such as a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux environments
- Experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower), Load Balancers, Domain Controllers, Switches, Routers, Security devices.
- Understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools
- Understanding of network security principles and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001).
- Experience with virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere/ESXi
- Proficiency in all things Microsoft – Office 365, Azure, Teams etc.
- Experience with enterprise storage (HP, Dell / EMC).
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring and management tools: Zoho platform such as ManageEngine tools, Taegis and other security administration tools
- Understanding of ITIL practices and Tools – Incident and Change Management using ServiceNow
- Experience in regulated environments with a focus on security, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Experience in financial services environments with low-latency, high-availability requirements.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Solutions Architect
- VMware VCP / VCAP
