Responsibilities

Job Description

• Define and drive the end-to-end digital architecture for the G&B Digital Ecosystem, covering

Grooming and Beauty product lines.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. product, engineering, and UX-design) to

conceptualize and implement cutting-edge solutions for personal care and health applications.

• Discuss tradeoffs with all involved internal stakeholders and external suppliers or partners,

ensuring alignment with present and future features and architectural principles.

• Evaluate and mitigate technical uncertainties by devising innovative strategies to enhance

efficiency, resilience, and productivity, while participating in the development of thorough risk

management.

• Drive architectural decisions involving cloud platforms, microservices, API-management, and

device integration specific to Grooming and Beauty ecosystems.

• Lead technology evaluations and pilot projects, including Grooming and Beauty product

connectivity, with expertise in BLE, IoT device integration, and personalized user experiences.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, data privacy and security best

practices to ensure robust, scalable, and secure applications in the personal care and health

domain.

• Collaborate on digital development/operational activities internally with the Bangalore software

team and regional IT team, and supervise the same externally with 3rd party suppliers.

• Mentor engineering teams on architectural principles, mobile and web application design, and

technology implementation.

• Support performance optimization, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives for app

ecosystem components.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration by facilitating communication among engineering, product,

and design teams located in Amsterdam/Drachten/Bangalore to align on strategic goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, especially with app ecosystems or digital

platforms, with hands on experience in Coding

• Strong expertise in Cloud-native architectures, microservices, and API-design.
• Experience designing mobile and web application architectures tailored for consumer health and

personal care domains.

• Proven ability to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric digital solutions across product lines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within agile, cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.

Preferred Skills

• Hands on experience in IOS/Android and Cloud
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into grooming and beauty apps.
• Knowledge of IoT ecosystems and smart device connectivity in personal care products.
• Prior experience with similar consumer product ecosystems.
• Working experience in global, distributed teams

How We Work Together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
