Role Overview

The Infrastructure Engineer / Network Designer is responsible for designing, building, and commissioning the core technical infrastructure to support client solutions. This role covers the end-to-end delivery of integrated technical solutions, from detailed low-level design (LLD) to hands-on physical installation and hardware configuration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Design & LLD: Design technical infrastructure solutions and produce comprehensive technical documentation for inclusion in Low-Level Designs (LLD).
  • Build & Integration: Oversee the build, commissioning, configuration, and acceptance testing of integrated technical solutions in alignment with project requirements.
  • Hardware & Procurement Management: Manage and update the Bill of Materials (BoM) in line with approved change controls and updated technical specifications. Ensure physical delivery aligns with project schedules.
  • Onsite Supervision: Supervise physical installation and commissioning activities, including directing external sub-contractors.
  • Collaboration & Governance: Facilitate, lead, and participate in technical workshops and project meetings with key internal and external stakeholders.


Essential Requirements & Qualifications

  • Campus Networking: Proven hands-on experience in designing, building, and configuring campus network environments using major vendor hardware (e.g., Dell, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Arista).
  • Core Network Protocols & Security: Deep knowledge of IP networking, DNS, routing protocols, VPNs, and firewall configuration.
  • Domain & Network Services: Demonstrated experience with enterprise network design and domain management technologies (Active Directory, DNS, NPS).
  • Virtualization: Practical experience with virtualized servers and virtual networking technologies (e.g., VMware, Proxmox).
  • Hardware & Rack Management: Direct experience managing physical hardware, rack builds, cabling, hardware installation, and physical troubleshooting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze, critique, and adapt pre-existing designs and technical requirements.
