The Opportunity

Linley Valley Pork is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Operations Support Officer to join our team located in Wundowie.

This role provides day-to-day technical support across our business operations, ensuring our IT systems, networks, and applications remain reliable, secure, and effective.

Working closely with the Group IT Manager, you will support the technology requirements of our production, processing, and administrative teams. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, minimise operational disruptions, and contribute to the delivery of IT projects and strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting users, working with infrastructure, and ensuring business-critical systems continue to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for site infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and inter-site SD-WAN connectivity.
  • Manage and monitor network performance to ensure system availability, redundancy, and compliance with Group IT standards.
  • Perform system patching, firmware updates, and technology upgrades with minimal impact to business operations.
  • Maintain data integrity and system resilience through effective backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, firewall management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Lead the triage, investigation, and resolution of critical incidents impacting plant and business systems.
  • Communicate effectively during incidents, providing timely updates and escalating issues where required.
  • Execute and document network change management activities, ensuring all changes are approved, recorded, tested, and verified.
  • Assist with ongoing improvements to IT systems, processes, and service delivery.

About You

You are a proactive and technically capable IT professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment. You will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to work collaboratively with users and stakeholders across the business.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Experience working within an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), manufacturing, or operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and influencing people while building positive working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience using helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure (desirable).
  • Knowledge of database technologies, particularly MS SQL (desirable).
  • An understanding of Operational Technology (OT) systems within a manufacturing environment (desirable).
