The Role

You'll own performance and reliability across a serious HPC estate - job scheduling, storage, networking, hardware - for a firm where milliseconds and research throughput actually move the P&L. This isn't ticket based sysadmin work. You're root-causing, automating, and owning infra end-to-end across research, trading, and enterprise environments.

What you'll touch:

• SLURM job scheduling + workload tuning at scale
• Parallel file systems (Lustre / GPFS) + high-perf storage (DDN, Weka, VAST, NetApp, SpectrumScale)
• InfiniBand + high-speed Ethernet
• Bare metal provisioning (PXE, DHCP, DNS) + config mgmt (Ansible, Salt, Terraform, xCAT)
• Exchange connectivity upgrades + hardware refresh cycles - real vendor-facing ownership, not just internal tickets

What gets you through the door:

• 5+ years HPC sysadmin/architecture - RHEL/CentOS/Rocky
• SLURM/Moab/Torque experience
• Python scripting fluency
• Comfortable being the technical face to external vendors and exchanges, not just internal IT
