Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer to support and manage enterprise network infrastructure within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN networks while ensuring high availability, performance, and SLA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and SD-WAN devices.
- Handle escalations from L1 teams and coordinate with field engineers and vendors.
- Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Perform incident, change, problem, and asset management activities in line with ITIL processes.
- Manage IP addressing, router access controls, and network configurations.
- Conduct fault analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidents.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity and application-related issues.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and vendor teams for network-related issues and escalations.
- Support backup link activation, failover testing, and disaster recovery activities.
- Maintain network documentation, SOPs, inventory records, and operational reports.
- Ensure timely resolution of security, audit, and compliance observations.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational process improvements.
- 5+ years of experience in Network Operations and Infrastructure Support.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SD-WAN Technologies
- Cisco Routers & Switches
- Juniper Routers & Switches
- Strong knowledge of:
- BGP
- OSPF
- EIGRP
- LAN/WAN Technologies
- Data & Voice Networks
- Experience with Network Monitoring Systems (NMS) and ticketing tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Good understanding of network operations in a 24×7 support environment.
- Cisco ACI
- TACACS
- Network Security Fundamentals
- Experience in enterprise or BFSI environments.
- Exposure to Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations.
- Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline.
- CCNA
- CCNP
- Equivalent Networking Certifications
