Job Brief

Lenovo is looking for a highly skilled Level 2 Network Support Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies to support, optimize, and transform enterprise network environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on network professional who thrives in complex infrastructure environments and has strong experience across network architecture, operations, security, automation, and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and enhancing large-scale Cisco-based networks, driving service excellence, ensuring network stability, and collaborating with customers, architects, OEMs, and cross-functional teams to deliver world-class network services.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations Support

  • Manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across Data, Voice, Wireless, and Security domains.
  • Provide Level 2 support for critical network incidents, service requests, and operational challenges.
  • Ensure network availability, performance, reliability, and adherence to service level commitments.
  • Drive end-to-end BAU operations for large enterprise network environments.

Cisco Network Technologies

  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco networking solutions.
  • Manage and support Cisco Campus Networks, SDA (Software Defined Access), DNAC, ACI, ISE, WLC, Routing, Switching, and Network Security platforms.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco SDN and ACI environments.
  • Implement and optimize Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for secure access control and policy management.
  • Support provisioning, automation, and assurance services using Cisco DNA Center.

Wireless Security

  • Design and support enterprise wireless network infrastructure.
  • Manage Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points, including upgrades, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement wireless security controls and best practices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot firewall policies, rules, and security controls.
  • Monitor network traffic and proactively mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

Voice Collaboration

  • Support enterprise voice infrastructure including:
    • Cisco Call Manager (CUCM)
    • Voice Gateways
    • Unified Communications
    • Voice Conferencing and Webex Platforms
  • Troubleshoot voice, telephony, and collaboration-related issues.
Automation Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement network automation solutions across Cisco technologies.
  • Drive lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Identify opportunities for capacity planning, performance improvement, and service optimization.
  • Lead continuous service improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

Stakeholder Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with network architects, administrators, security teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Engage with OEMs, vendors, and ISVs to drive issue resolution and technology enhancements.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and participate in operational and service review meetings.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for complex network initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise Cisco network environments.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across wired, wireless, security, and voice technologies.
  • Experience managing large-scale network infrastructure in enterprise environments.
