Robert Half is partnering with a growing technology-focused organization seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong infrastructure background, experience supporting multiple environments, and a consultative approach to solving business and technical challenges. MSP, consulting, or multi-environment infrastructure experience is desired.


This is a highly visible, client-facing position where you'll have the opportunity to design, implement, and support critical infrastructure environments spanning networking, cloud, security, virtualization, and Microsoft technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technical resource for assigned client environments
  • Design, deploy, and support infrastructure solutions including servers, networking, security, backups, and cloud platforms
  • Architect and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Lead infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
  • Conduct proactive assessments and recommend improvements to performance, reliability, and security
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align technology solutions with business objectives
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and certifications


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting complex IT infrastructure environments
  • Strong expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies
  • Advanced networking knowledge including VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switching, and routing
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, and Azure
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects from planning through execution
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting enterprise hardware environments
