AE Business Solutions is seeking a SecOps Solutions Architect to join our team! This is a permanent, hybrid opportunity (Madison, WI office) that is a base pay plus lucrative commission/bonus opportunity.

Role

A Solutions Architect is responsible for hands-on technical pre- and post-sale enablement, working actively with account managers to drive business within AE’s Solutions Practice at new and existing enterprise clients. You aim to build strategy and vision while becoming a trusted advisor, partner, and point of accountability with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect solutions to solve customer business needs.
• Provide engineering expertise in the pre and post-sale stages.
• Build in-depth knowledge of clients' technical priorities, challenges and initiatives and map those needs to AE’s core offerings and competencies.
• Responsible for architecting and proposing (i.e. presenting) technology solutions, along with implementation of services, that meets customers' business and technical needs.
• Comfortable and successful engaging diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels, demonstrating adaptability in everything from formal presentations to informal collaborative settings.
• Educate customer’s Technical and Business leaders on proposed solutions.
• Build value-added relationships within the domain of new or existing accounts to become the trusted technical advisor.
• Identifying new opportunities across lines of business and engaging sales team on the opportunity.
• Research new technologies and market direction.
• Oversee the installation and implementation of assigned products including coordination of vendor participation.
• Responsible to ensure that proposed solutions, when implemented, meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field or equivalent experience
• Five or more years in solution architecture or engineering
• Deeply knowledgeable and experienced in modern data networking domains (data center, campus, wireless) and modern network security.
• Practical experience in each of these areas:
• A major enterprise network security platform (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point)
• A major route/switch platform (Arista, Aruba, Cisco, Juniper)
• A major enterprise wireless platform (Aruba, Cisco, Juniper/Mist, Arista)
• Practical experience in these areas is desirable:
• Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• SASE/SSE Solutions (Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Netskope, Cato, et. al)
• Network Automation (Ansible, Python, et. al)
• Multi-Cloud Networking / IXPs (Alkira, Equinix, et. al)
• DDoS / WAF Solutions (Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, et. al)
• DDI Solutions (Bluecat, Infoblox, et. al)
• Observability Solutions (LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, LiveAction, et. al)
• Enjoy rapidly gaining context and knowledge in new technology areas with minimal supervision. You likely have a personal lab within a cloud service provider, basement, or bunker.
• Carry an innate or learned ability to accept requirements or documentation as input and output a slide deck, proposal, or plan.
• Ability to maintain or obtain certification in security, network, and cloud domains – as professionally required or personally interested.
• Comfortable with travel throughout the state and enjoy occasional national travel to events and conferences with a team.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
