Made for Patients. Made for Partnerships. Made for you.

For more than 100 years, Canon Medical has been at the cutting edge of diagnostic imaging, creating healthcare solutions that improve people’s lives. We partner with leading clinical and academic institutions around the world to develop systems and services that push the boundaries of image quality and workflow efficiency.

Inspired by our “Made for Life” philosophy, we provide healthcare solutions that address the real-world needs and concerns of patients, medical professionals, customers and partners. Working at Canon Medical Systems Europe you will get the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives while working with us.

The role

As Operational Infrastructure Architect, you have a double role in our team:

  • You will be the connectivity expert in our team, focusing on LAN and WAN based on the SASe technology that we are currently implementing. You will help our service desk do triage of network incidents, prepare connectivity related changes and act as a knowledgeable sparring partner for our supplier responsible for operating the LAN and WAN environment.
  • You act as the lead architect for connectivity, owning the design and quality of all solutions that impact connectivity services.
  • You define designs and standards, while execution and day‑to‑day operations are performed by external suppliers.
  • You act as a key link between business, IT and external suppliers, translating requirements into and secure infrastructure solutions.

What will you do?

  • Own and evolve the connectivity architecture and roadmap, aligned with business and IT strategy.
  • Design all changes involving network and connectivity, including LAN, WAN, internet, VPN and cloud connectivity.
  • Act as the primary technical interface between internal stakeholders, the service desk and external infrastructure suppliers.
  • Support and guide the resolution of complex connectivity incidents, including follow‑up improvements.
  • Enable and train the service desk to perform network triage.
  • Oversee infrastructure performance, capacity through vendor reporting and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to infrastructure‑related projects and changes, ensuring proper design, documentation and impact assessment.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in infrastructure roles.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise networking, cloud environments (e.g. OCI, SaaS/IaaS) and enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience working within frameworks such as ITIL and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and outsourced infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on and pragmatic approach.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level); Dutch is preferred.

What do we offer?

You will work in a professional team and in a challenging environment with many opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience. In addition, we offer you:

  • a gross monthly salary aligned with your knowledge and work experience;
  • a 13th month and 8% vacation allowance;
  • 32 vacation days and 5 scheduled days off;
  • travel expenses / home office allowance.

Interested in shaping this role with your expertise? We look forward to hearing from you!
