WE’RE HIRING — NETWORK ENGINEERS

We are expanding our Engineering Team, and we are looking for experienced, hands-on engineers who understand both field deployment and network configuration.

We are specifically looking for engineers with practical experience in:

• Fiber optic installation, termination, splicing and troubleshooting

• Broadband network deployment and maintenance

• Satellite internet installation and configuration

• MikroTik and router configuration

• Wireless network deployment and optimisation

• Access Points, switches, routers and related network equipment

• LAN/WAN configuration

• Network monitoring and fault diagnosis

• Customer-site installations and technical support

• Preventive and corrective network maintenance

• Documentation of installations, incidents and completed work

Who we are looking for

We want engineers who are technically competent, but also fit into the culture we are building at IFIX Networks.

You should be:

• Hands-on and willing to work both in the office and on customer sites

• Responsible for work within your department, not only tasks personally assigned to you

• Able to troubleshoot problems independently and escalate appropriately

• Comfortable working with deadlines and service restoration targets

• Disciplined with documentation and daily reporting

• Willing to learn new technologies and configurations

• Professional when dealing with customers

• Accountable, dependable and able to work as part of a team

• Focused on completing assignments, not simply reporting activity

Work Structure

This is a fully onsite position.

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Daily Engineering/Team Stand-up: 10:00 AM

Daily Stand-down and reporting: 5:00 PM

Engineers may be required to visit customer locations, installations, maintenance sites and infrastructure locations during working hours.

If sent out for field work, you are still expected to maintain proper communication, documentation and accountability for the assignment.

Experience

Previous practical experience working with ISP, telecommunications, fiber, broadband, satellite connectivity or network infrastructure is strongly preferred.

Certifications are an advantage, but we are more interested in what you can actually configure, install, troubleshoot and maintain.

If you have only studied networking but have never worked practically with network infrastructure, this role may not be the right fit.
