Principle duties:
- As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for providing IT system administration services for hardware, network, operating system, cloud services and related software across the SPS global business. You will work closely with members of our IT Operations team to ensure the secure and efficient delivery of services.
- This is a generalist support role with an opportunity to work with a large variety of solutions in both datacenter and Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the Ethernet networks, network cabling, firewalls, network load balancers, UPS, generator, electricity, air-conditioner, temperature, fire suppression and other related equipments, devices in data center
- Operate the network infrastructure includes routing, switching, firewall rules
- Maintain network diagram and document network problems, resolutions, maintenance, and upgrades
- Administration and support of IT systems, virtual, physical and cloud including associated systems management software to agreed standards.
- Maintenance and configuration of core hardware infrastructure including servers, storage, SAN switches and all the management tools required to support them.
- Provide troubleshooting, solving and investigating for IT incidents
- Co-ordinate with 1st Line team and related in incident/problem solving
- Follow ISMS/ISO 27001, ISO20000, ISO14000 procedure, policies, and company regulations
- Co-ordinate with other teams to perform patching, maintenance and capacity report of managed devices. Follow ISMS/ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 14000 procedure, policies and company regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by IT Manager & Direct Manager
Requirement:
*** Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related majors.
*** Technology skills and experience:
- English level: Technical communication
- Reliable, responsive, focus on quality. Strong customer focus
- 3+ Years of experience in deploying, administering, and supporting IT systems, within medium/large environments.
- Understanding of the challenges involved in IT delivery in a global business, including awareness of security, governance, procurement requirements and constraints.
- Proven experience of successful delivery without the need for regular direction or supervision.
- A good knowledge of IT best practice, ITIL.
- Typically educated to a degree level, hold industry level qualifications or equivalent work experience.
- Willingness to work as part of a global virtual team.
- Knowledge/Experience in Cloud Based Technologies – Azure, AWS, IBM.
- Experience in (the more the better):
- Common Operating Systems – Windows (all versions), Linux (Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu etc.).
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, GPO’s, LDAP.
- Communication technologies - VPN, email, SFTP and enterprise file transfer solutions.
- General Networking
- Storage and Backup technologies
