Senior Engineer Technology Infrastructure

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer Technology Infrastructure to join our growing team based in Geneva, Switzerland. You will be responsible to contribute to the successful development and implementation of Technology related projects that support TiL’s portfolio of terminals and projects; this includes Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Communications Technology (Comms) in support of terminal projects under (re)development and single-disciplinary projects in existing terminals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Apply TiL’s Technology strategy in support of our global network of terminals;
• Work along the Technology blueprint for (greenfield) projects, and suggest improvements where applicable;
• Implement system architectures that can accommodate disparate systems and interfaces, and allow for future growth and change, while ensuring systems’ security and reliability;
• Contribute to and monitor the implementation of Technology projects in our Projects and Terminals;
• Review Terminal’s systems and development plans to identify risks, opportunities, and best practices;
• Coordinate and work with TiL’s partners to implement Technology best practices across the terminal portfolio;
• Support Projects and Terminals in the implementation of practices for Technology related matters, to achieve their objectives;
• Take part of the annual Technology budget cycle for Headquarter and Terminals, including analyses for the selection of strategic Technology investments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant information technology experience, preferably Ports and Terminals;
• MSc degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
• Knowledge of Container Terminals and the management thereof;
• Knowledge of available Technology and proven Solutions including their respective pros and cons;
• Excellent understanding of system security, network architecture, database and storage systems, and communications technology;
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken;
• Ability to communicate and present in a concise and effective way;
• Capability to convey expert subjects to non-experts;
• Developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders: management, internal departments, terminal or project teams, consultants.
