Senior Network Engineer
Indexed description
We're hiring a Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of the network environment at a high-growth specialty pharmacy in the Dallas area. You will join as a full-time W2 ETG employee, embedded with the client's IT team and reporting into their VP of IT.
This is a net-new role. There is no incumbent and no managed service provider running the network today, so you will set the architecture, standards, and operational structure from the ground up. The environment spans six sites, including two overseas call centers, and supports roughly 1,000 users. The network has grown organically and is undocumented in places. Your job is to turn it into something documented, reliable, secure, and ready to scale as the business grows.
Position Details
- Hybrid: 3-days onsite in Dallas, TX, 2-days remote
- Salary range: $155,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
- Full-time W2 with full benefits
- On-call required
- Minimal travel, under two weeks per year
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- W2 only, no corp-to-corp
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end network architecture across Azure cloud and on-prem Cisco and Meraki environments
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions for a global, multi-site organization
- Build network standards, diagrams, and data-flow documentation where none exist today
- Serve as the primary escalation point for network troubleshooting and incident resolution
- Proactively monitor and improve network health, capacity, and resilience
- Execute builds, configurations, and changes across WAN, hybrid cloud, and campus environments
- Lead or support network migrations and upgrades
- Design and manage Azure networking, including virtual networks, routing, connectivity, and hybrid integration
- Identify automation opportunities using Python, Terraform, or Ansible to reduce manual work
- Act as a technical advisor to IT leadership and partner with systems and service desk teams
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years in network engineering and network architecture roles
- Strong hands-on Cisco networking, including Meraki, across production design, configuration, and support
- Hands-on Azure networking, including virtual networks, routing, connectivity, and hybrid integration
- Experience in HIPAA, HITRUST, or comparable regulated, compliance-driven environments
- A track record of designing, implementing, and supporting networks end-to-end
- Ownership of both strategy and execution
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, hybrid environments
Nice To Have
- Routing and switching experience, including BGP, OSPF, L2/L3, firewalls, and WAN design
